TOURING ONTARIO BY BICYCLE

I took it upon myself to start this blog, as I like to keep a record of my/our major road tours we have done. When the tour is finished, we’ll put together a coffee table booklet of this trip, as we have always done. It’s great to look back at these every now and again.

The amigos plus three friends are touring Ontario by bicycle starting on September 13th. Our intentions are to drive south tour St. Joseph’s Island and Manitoulin Island, then take the ferry to Tobermory and head into southern Ontario for the next two weeks. From there we’ll make our way towards Quebec.

The sag van we are taking will be within 15 to 20 km from us at all times. We intend to switch drivers every so many kilometers so we all get a chance to ride our bikes.

There will be no camping on this trip, as we’ll be booking places to stay daily. This’ll be more comfortable than tenting (even though some of us are quite used to tenting), as we’ll always have access to showers, which are a must at the end of each days ride.

Hopefully there will be wifi access wherever we stay, so we’ll be able to post to this blog every evening.

I think we’ll all be taking extra precautions due to Mr. Co Vid19.
